Yesterday went fairly well. It was nice Tom and Pat came over. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that is better shared. And, I’m happy they were willing to share it with us after all that time in the van together.
The biggest problem was that after making bacon for breakfast, I turned off the stove. Then, I put the turkey in. About an hour later, I noticed that I hadn’t turned it back on.
Ah well, it still cooked.
I can’t say I’m big on the holidays this year. It’s been a long time since I’ve really been excited about them. But, this year is worse than most.
I’m told not to concentrate on what happens when they’re over. But, it’s hard not to think about it. I guess we’ll see.

I think holidays are tough all around - our trip to Jersey was more stressful than relaxing, and it looks like Christmas will be the same. Thankfully, you (and we) have friends to surround you.

We once had the gas fail on the entire island (someone shut off the main where it crossed the canal), so we spent 4-5 hours waiting before we realized that the oven was actually colder than the rest of the kitchen.

I'm sure it was a difficult holiday without your dad.
But, I'm sure your mom appreciated seeing you.

On a different note, I was asked when the next games night might be....
