Thanks giving

fbhjrAs most of you know, I’ve had better years.
But, there are still many things I’m thankful for.
In no particular order:
1) That my wife is with me. I can not express how thankful I am that she has returned to me.
2) That my wife and I are trying to restore our marriage. Really a subset of the one above, but important enough to get its own line.
3) For the friends who supported me when I really needed it. I appreciate your calling me to talk with me. Listening to me on long rides to and from other states, or just sitting around the living room. Letting me know the difference between being suicidal and just a ham. And, telling me when I’m full of it. Calling me to let me know that there are people who care.
4) For the troupe. It has given me all sorts of ways to express things that I need to express. And, it requires a certain mindset to have to say “I can’t be angry now I’ve got to go sword fight people and set things on fire”.
5) For my job. Not just for the money and something to do with my time. But, for a boss who says “your marriage is more important than furniture. Do what you have to do to fix that first.” And, really mean it when he said it.
6) For my boss in general. And, specifically for stopping me from sending a letter that he was right, would have made things worse.
7) For this Civil War holiday that makes me stop and think of what I need to give thanks for.
8) For noticing after only an hour that I didn’t turn the oven on this morning and the turkey wasn’t cooking.
