Can’t keep my mouth shut

One of the other things I admire about my wife is her willingness to do things that scare her. I’m not saying she is fearless. She isn’t.
But, there are things that scare her that she is willing to do anyhow.
Perform in front of a crowd. Drive across a good part of the country by herself. Light herself on fire.
I won’t do the last one. Or, eat the fire. My fear of that is too much for me.
But, she does both. On a regular basis.
To me, this is better than being fearless.
There are things you should be afraid of. Fearless people haven’t thought about things enough.
She’s someone who has thought about what she’s afraid of, figured out how to do whatever it is in a safe way, and then done it.
To me, that’s much more impressive than someone who is just plain fearless.
