Many Thursdays my wife and I are getting together with at least one other person who does historical European sword fighting and looking over the Liancour sword fighting manual from 1692.
If you’re interested, the original can be found in French on line for free at:
http://www.umass.edu/renaissance/lord/pdfs/Liancour_1692.pdf
And, as none of our group knows French, we are using an English translation from here:
http://www.sirwilliamhope.org/Library/Liancour/

So far we’ve gotten through chapter 4. The only real insight we have so far is on the first set of drawings we think #4 and #5 may be reversed.

My goal is to add some of this material to what Phoenix Swords does at shows. But, anyone can do it for any reason. Right?
