This has been a discouraging week on the job front. All week long there has been only 1 new job posting for which I thought I’d be qualified. I’m spamming other companies in the area, so I won’t have trouble meeting my 3 minimum for unemployment. But, it does worry me some that there are so few folks looking. And, it seems that if the folks looking don’t find exactly what they’re after, they don’t take anyone and repost the job a month later. Sad.

I did drop by the post office today to mail out some of the spam to other companies. This made me wonder if they are giving up on things themselves.


Fed-Ex boxes next to mail boxes? I remember when they used to mock each other in their commercials...

And, if you don’t believe me about the poison ivy taking over, look at this picture of the traffic light near my home.


Nothing green on it at all two weeks ago. Now, covered in poison ivy...

I did drive a bunch of stuff from the spare room up to the practice grounds. And, picked up stuff for our next show there.

While driving about Shrewsbury I saw a bumper sticker that offended me: “Peace had a chance, give war a chance.”
I wonder at the kind of person that would put that on the back of their SUV...
But, freedom of speech means I can say I don’t like it, right?

It took J 2+ months to get a new job once he got dumped from his old gig.

18 years ago, the last time I was laid off, it took me 5 months...
I'm only at 1 1/2 now. So as much as I'd like it to be less, I wasn't expecting it.
