When I worked at what is now the Ecotarium (then the Worcester Science Center) I used to do what I called the "Nasty animal show". I'd start with the skunk, go to the snake and end with the giant cockroach. The people who did the fluffy animal shows had trouble getting away at the end of the show as everyone wanted to pet the fluffy animals. I never had that problem. And, we owned a snake for a long time when one of my wife's coworkers gave her the choice of us taking the boa, or her setting it free in Shrewsbury...
One of the "Great Mistakes" of my life is the time I told my wife "let go of the snake it won't want to stay wrapped around the radiator". So, I've experienced a snake that would not go where we wanted...
