Looking for evidence of the lake monster I saw a sign that gave me a clue.
Lake monsters always have names: Nessie, Champ, etc.
So, when I saw this sign, I knew I was close:

That’s right “gigantic art sale”. So, the lake monster is obviously the Gigantic Art they mention.
So, back to the lake side to look for him.

In the parking lot next to the lake was a close call.

The wooden moose might be a good candidate for the lake monster, but it is too small to have made the damage to the trees I saw, despite my knowing moose have brought down trees.
And, its hard to believe its name is Gigantic Art.

On the lake, more boats full of young people floated up and down.

Then, looking at the island in the lake, it hit me.

That’s right! The lake monster must be King Arthur and the island Avalon. It’s the only thing that made sense.

Medical experiments done on him at the medical center to discover why he lived 1700 years must have made him grow large in size. This, of course, had some negative effects on his personality. So, they built the tower of the mental hospital around his enlarged form. When it caught fire, he ran to the lake, then burrowed into the island under the mound in the center. The Ents are probably tying to get him to come back and take over as King again. I don’t blame him for resisting.
