That pirate girl…

I bought the download versions of the first 7 Girl Genius books the other day. I also bought the “Volume 1 secret blueprints”.
They give a lot of background history of characters. Some of it turns up in the comic later. Some of it doesn’t. A lot of it is for characters from Volume 1, some of whom have not shown up again.
But, it gives the background of “that pirate girl”.
Apparently she’s out working for the Baron because her pirate headquarters were destroyed and everyone was killed while she was away.
She’s bent on revenge against the person who did it, but has no clue as to who did it.
Last night, it occurred to me I might know…
