Those wacky drivers

We got down to MD last night.
We stopped for dinner in Ansonia, CT. Although for the three weekends of SCRF each year, that drive becomes a grind for us all, it is a place where we know what’s available for food. And, with no SCRF this year, we aren’t facing the drive down there and back twice a week for three weeks. (Of course, we aren’t facing the paycheck for that job either, and I’ll miss that more than the drive...)
I don’t know if it was the fact that a lot of people have this as a three day weekend, the big V day, or just it being Friday night, but there were few examples of good driving on the road, and lots of examples of bad.
I also was surprised to find a traffic jam on the NJ turnpike at 10:30 at night. It looked like it was all due to the tolls. 5 miles of toll back up that late at night seems pretty strange to me.
But, we got here. Al had the fold out bed read for us when we did. It didn’t take us much to fall asleep.
