Death and taxes

I finally got in my tax software and started working on it last night.
The sword troupe is the only thing that makes me need the fancy software. Everything else could be done on the EZ form otherwise.

But, the whole schedule C thing isn’t what gave me the most trouble. It was “type in the exact amount of the government stimulus check you got last year. The exact amount is needed.”
To look that up on line made me go to the IRS website and have to look up stuff on my submittal the year before.
It was very frustrating.

The software tells me that I have a “medium” risk of an audit as Phoenix lost money last year and has “high” travel expenses.
But, for a lot of the year, gas prices were very high. And, a few of our regular events didn’t happen. So, there you are.

On an unrelated note, if you eat gummi bears out of the same bowl you had Chex mix in, you get unexpected taste sensations. Not bad, but unexpected...
