fbhjr: (Hat of doom!)

I dreamed we were in Pensacola for the Gulf Coast Ren Faire, as we will be one month from this weekend.
But, we forgot all of the props for the fire show.
We did have the wick for the props. So, I had the idea that we could add with wick to cooking items and still do the show.
We went to a kitchen supply store and started looking at things we could use. The thing that holds hamburgers over a camp fire looked very promising.
We tried to use two french fry cooking baskets with wick trapped between the bottoms of them, but we were worried that it would be too heavy to swing around that way.
But, we thought we had enough we could manage with for a show.

You'd be suprised how easy it can be to recreate an entire show if you have a nearby Wal-Mart, Stop & Shop, and a Jo-Ann Fabrics or AC Moore.

In fact, in a pinch, you could even create a whole costume if you REALLY need to.

Tea Balls might be better than the french fry cooking baskets, though.

-Much love,

Wal-Mart, especially the ones down south, are a bit part of our show prep.
The fire show can usually get all of the fuel we use there.
And, our brasier for lighting the props from comes from there too.
