My wife bought me a new hat this weekend. It is very nice.
My usual winter hat is a russian army surplus hat I got several years ago. (To replace another russian army surplus hat I left in an airport coming home from GCRF in 2003.)
The new hat isn’t quite as warm as the russian hat. But, in many ways that’s good as there are plenty of times I need a hat, but the russian one is too warm for the conditions.
So, russian hat for mid-winter very cold, new hat for the rest.
It’s very nice and I like it very much.
