My World Of Warcraft character hit maximum level today.

I’m pretty much the last of folks I know to reach this. But, I still got there.

It’s been a long strange road since they released the expansion while I was heading to the Mobile Ren Faire back in November.
I’ve had to herd baby Murlocs.

And, have bad experiences in an outhouse.

There have been fun bits. The expansion has riding bears and mammoths. I haven’t saved the 19,000 gold for a mammoth yet, but I’ve got a riding bear. It’s fun riding it around, especially through bunches of wild horses.

One of the ones my wife and I both liked was to get meat from the giant ice worms.

You don’t just kill them and take the meat. You feed them bombs so they explode.

Once it has exploded, you pick up the chunks and turn them in.

As you go up in levels you can get a flying mount.

That let me explore the whole world and get the title “world explorer” which is cool.
But, I also wanted to get a lot of pets.
If you get 50 pets they give you a bonus pet that you can only get that way. (A skunk.)
But, getting 50 pets isn’t easy. There are about 30 regular pets that are easy to get. Then, you’ve got to work to get them.
One you need to be exalted with the mushroom people. (Hey, I don’t make this stuff up.)
You get reputation with the mushroom people by killing their enemies the mermaids. So, I killed about 500 of them to make them happy.

So, that got me my sporebat pet.

To get my last few pets I went back to “low level” dungeons. They weren’t all low level before the expansions started coming out. But, they are now.
As a high level mage, they are pretty easy for me these days.
