We were getting a lot of smoke in the air this week, which made the sun look weird in the morning.




Even the birds in the park outside where I work seemed to just sit on the ground all day instead of their usual wandering around for food. Strange.


Thursday we met my wife’s family for dinner. Despite her worries and preparation, it all went well. Turns out her cousin is great friends with the owner of our favorite Mexican place. Who knew?





Friday we did our annual Game Night fire show.

Saturday we didn’t do much, other than the grocery shopping. I found this in the wall of the supermarket we went to. I’m sure the archeologists we found on our vacation would tell me it is a symbol showing the culture is very religious and puts mysterious symbols over the places they gather for food to link the supernatural to the eating process.
