Active dream

I dreamed I was in some sort of old abandoned building. It was mostly dark, but in several of the rooms were glowing white creatures very similar to these ones from an old episode of Star Trek:

In my dream they were not physically active, but were doing some sort of evil thing. As, is more or less true in the Star Trek episode as well.

I had my bronze sword and went through the rooms threatening them to stop or I’d attack them with it.
When there was no response, I did stab one in the leg with my sword. It made no difference at all.

I realized they were making a low humming sound and if I disrupted that, I could stop what they were doing.
So, I started trying to shout out a noise that would interfere with it.
It seemed to at least made some difference, so I tried doing it louder.
Dream ends

The dream ended when my wife shook me because I was "calling out" in my sleep.
Not at all sure what that dream was about.
Haven’t see than episode in decades.

I’ve been thinking about bronze swords, but not mine, but one I saw in a museum in Ireland.

Very strange…

Hmm... whenever I try to shout in my dreams, my voice always come out weak and raspy. It makes me frustrated because I'm trying to loudly communicate something, and I'm not being heard. It never seems to cue me into the fact that I'm dreaming, even though that's always the case when that happens. It's probably good to, or I might wake up the person sleeping next to me too.

You're not going to go back to Ireland and steal that sword are you?
