I applied for unemployment as soon as their website was back up on Tuesday.

I did have a phone meeting, not quite interview, with someone Tuesday, and there was a lot of noise. When I went out later I saw they were doing some sort of construction in my courtyard.

I did go up to my old office to get a discount computer.

Coming home there was some problem on the roads, not sure what.

Thursday it was starting to rain, which would stay around for a while.

We met my wife’s student workers for dinner. This may well be the last batch of student workers she has after 19 years. Who knows what will happen as her department changes?

Friday there was a break in the rain so we drove up to New Hampshire to set it up our tent.

Friday was game night.

We had nine players, which is a lot of any game, so we played Dixit. I tried playing totally randomly and came in last place. So much for the theory that picking random cards is as good as any other strategy.

Then we played Bandu.

Saturday morning we drove up to New Hampshire and found out tent had the center pole break overnight.

We did share our tent with another act. They seemed nice enough. This is the second year we were asked to share our space with a two woman act that was trained by someone who used to hate us, and may still. I find that strange, even if them and the other act both seemed nice enough. (The other act was there again this year, but on a different space. We said hi, no worries.)

We let them keep their stuff in our tent until we all went home, then they had to bring it back to where they were camping.

I was happy when the rain stopped enough for the harper to come out.

I’ve noticed one of the issues with Tom’s son. He closes his eyes when doing the fights. I’m sure that doesn’t help his targeting. Right now, only his dad is performing with him.
