They didn’t mean me

Tonight my wife and I went out for sushi for dinner. On our way out I held the door for two women leaving at the same time.
After they passed by me, one turned to the other and said “he is such an asshole.”
“And, ugly too,” her friend said. “His face looks like someone’s ass.”
I didn’t mean to, but I guess I must have paused while looking for my wife.
“We don’t mean you!” the first one said.
“We mean George Bush!” the second one said.

While I don’t generally use sushi patrons as a measurement of myself, I can’t say I was disappointed to learn I wasn’t their subject.
