After the meat market
Jan. 18th, 2009 05:56 pmSo after our triumphant return from the meat market with pizzas we played D&D in my wife’s game. We’re still paying 2nd generation. I say it is because it is the best version, not because we’re old farts. But, that’s me. (3 and above might be interesting, but I’m not convinced they are D&D.)
Anyhow, no mater how good the gaming, eventually you want something more.

Since we had pizza for lunch, we needed to have something else for dinner. A quick vote was taken and it was decided

(OK, that had been the plan from the beginning...)
She made two monster Beef Wellingtons.

While we were gaming, she had worked on them. There was a lot of cutting, chopping, grinding, etc. I’m not sure of all that went into them. But, it seemed like a lot of work.

The Wellington’s were very large and very good.

Even my wife was happy.

(My wife isn’t happy I take her picture. She is happy with Beef Wellington...)
When all was said and done, it was a very nice meal.

Today was much more quite. Because of the snow I cancelled our sword practice. When I went out in it for food I found that it was very fluffy and probably not worth canceling things for, but by then it was too late. And, they were plowing it. My major concern was parking our line of cars on the road while they plowed. Even fluffy snow might have caused an issue for that.
Instead of sword fighting practice, which we all need, I spent a lot of the day watching Red Dwarf, which I probably don’t need but really like.
