Our trip: Part two in photos

Tuesday we got up, got our car out of the lair and went to the conference.





We went to two lectures this morning.



Then for that day’s tour, off to Kirkstall Abbey near the conference. This tour was by the archeologist who works for Leeds helping maintain it historically.





























































I did wonder what anti-climbing paint was…


We had dinner at a noodle place near the university and then walked back to the car to return to the hotel.





Wednesday morning my wife looked around the hotel some, and sat in the swing before we set off for day 3.






I don’t think this person understood parallel parking…


No tour this day, but there was a craft faire. And, many classes on arms and armor.







On a friend’s advice we walked through the villain’s lair to a nice Indian place near the hotel.















Thursday morning, we got up at 2AM, drove to the Manchester airport where they took away my umbrella and then flew to Iceland. But, that’s another story…

Are low quality tourist attractions those without bathrooms?

Good question. I don't know. The one that was high quality did have one, but I never saw one saying they weren't quality...

Anti-climbing paint is basically thick grease. Too viscous to drip under gravity, but your hands and feet will smear it and slip if you try climbing.

I've always wanted to park my Smart car like that but never had the nerve as it sticks out too much

I’ve never been to that Abbey before but it looks lovely! Definitely one to visit when I’m in the area again.

People with those smart cars always park like that! It drives me crazy.
