Sometimes. But these folks weren’t doing it for that reason. They really did think they were better than others.
To give you an example my wife and I were discussing: The mother of one of these folks passed away and we went to the funeral. As we were there with the family the members of the family were saying things like “now that mom’s dead, who will clean the house?” They weren’t insecure. They just thought they were above doing that kind of work.
