My wife’s birthday

Thursday was my wife’s birthday. Since the cake she used to get for her birthday is no longer available, I went out and bought two single layer versions to make her the two layer version she likes.


The botanical garden near us has a holiday light show. My wife’s birthday is the last night it is open each year. So, I bought us tickets back in October. It doesn’t alway work out as it has been snowed out before. But, this year it was above freezing and kind of foggy.
That actually seemed to work out well for the lights.









They did have a nice fire pit going too.


The new section they’ve been making for the last two years is finally open for this event. You pass through a portal area to the new section. The portal is white going in and various colors going out. It’s a cool new area.












They even have benches.



The inside is open and has decorations as well.



The front gardens are also decorated.









They also had these light boxes that were very nice.







My wife seemed to have a good time, which was the point.
