Deep South adventures day 11

We spend the day traveling across the Drake Passage between Antarctica and South America.
So, no landings or anything like that.
We are still filling out the Chile health form every day as you need to for 10 days from when you enter Chile in case you did have Covid.

We spent a lot of time looking out the window at the waves.

In the morning they were around 3 meters. (10 feet)
Now they're up to five or more. And, the big ones come up to our balcony on deck 5.

We are in the center of the ship, so it isn't too bad. The ends must really be getting pounded.

We did have to turn in our rented cold equipment today.

Also, anything we didn't think we would use again we gave to the expedition crew. They seemed quite excited by the visors with built in defroster.
We read a lot, went to some lectures (adaptations of sea creatures and future cruises they'd really like us to buy), plus I worked some on the scrimshaw kit I brought with me.

I did enough to be sure I'm not good at it...
We're making excellent time across the Drake and I think we're going to be early. I'm not sure how they handle that as we have to wait for our flight that isn't until Tuesday.

The restaurant has come to know me and gives me the "lactose free" menu when I arrive. But, it is just the regular one with the things crossed out I can't eat.
I guess that's nice, but I can figure it out on my own most of the time.

We did not go out on our balcony as it is regularly washed by the surf and has a pool of water in it that sloshes back and forth.
We started the packing, even though we should have all day tomorrow too...

At least they’re making an effort I guess?
