Slushy is missing!

For the past 5 years the Christmas decorations where I work have included “Slushy the Worlds Saddest Snowman.”


I’ve always felt bad for him slaving away pulling Christmas packages with such a look on his face. While it is much closer to many of the faces I see on people shopping, it never really looked like he was in the holiday spirit to me.

But, this year, he’s gone. All of the holiday decorations are up, and he isn’t there!
I asked the woman in charge of the decorations where he was.
“I knew you’d ask,” she said. “We all know he’s your favorite. But, when we unpacked the stuff this year, he wasn’t there.”

So, I’m afraid he might have melted.
Given that it’s going to be 60 degrees F today and pouring rain out, I’m not surprised.
But, I am sad about it.

Perhaps he'd had enough of the slaving and is spending his holiday at one of the many Ice Hotels. Perhaps the one in Finland.
