The young woman my wife left her car with over the weekend did something that made my wife’s car’s battery die.
This was the first case of it.
Yesterday, when we dropped off
A couple of hours later, after the van had been unloaded and returned, I sat down in my station wagon and turned the key. The car instantly went dead. Sad.
I know my car has had a low battery for a while. I’ve intended to charge it, but have been too busy. I thought I could get away with it until this weekend when I’ll have time.
The good news was my wife was willing to come out and rescue me.
Today, getting back to work for the first time since last Wednesday, I had a whole pile of “emergency” things to do. A few hours into it, my boss came by.
“Getting ahead of it?” he asked.
“Can I take my car battery out and charge it here in the office?” I asked him.
“How will it help file cabinet problems?” he asked.
“Being able to go home and sleep will make it much more likely I’ll be able to solve future problems,” I said.
“You have a charger?” he asked.
“Sure,” I said.
“Use Skip’s office for it and don’t spill anything,” he said.
