Last Sunday morning there was snow. We cancelled sword practice as no one said they’d make it, and we didn’t see the point in going there alone.


As our apartment complex demands, we moved our cars by 10AM so they could plow our section of the lot.


We went off to brunch while this went on.


Then, back to get our cars.


I was annoyed that even by Monday night they hadn’t plowed where I had been parked.


At work we’re moving labs so a lot of time has been spent getting robot parts ready to move downstairs to the new lab.


I guess the cleaning staff is still mad about someone spitting in the toilets. I don’t know who made the sign, but I guess they don’t like that either?


It’s almost to the point of being light when I drive home these days.


Friday was game night, and the birthday of our friend who hosts. So, we went to the local bakery for a cake. Some folks aren’t good at parking.


There were lots of choices for games.


We ended up playing The Isle of Cats.



You’re trying to fill your ship with cats to save them from a doomed island.


Of course, you lure them to your ship with fish.


It was our first time playing it, so it didn’t go overly smoothly.


My wife fell asleep before we finished.


Saturday we went up to New Hampshire to help our friend who just lost his mother. He has to get her apartment empty before the end of the month as that’s when the lease runs out.
The good news is lots of folks showed up to help. The bad news is, his brother who actually lived there didn’t.
His high school friend and I took 6 loads of stuff off to the donation center. All trash containers were filled and a special trip taken to the dump.
But, by the time we came home it was in much better shape. Hopefully good enough.
