Week in photos
Jan. 18th, 2020 08:50 pmLast Sunday I might have done sword practice in short sleeves outdoors, but it wasn’t much later snowflakes were in the air. (I know, hard to see…)

Pokemon Go has started having animals stalk me…

At work we continue to get strange instructions from the night time cleaning staff. Fortunately, someone figured this one out, explained it and made up signs.

I spent a lot of the week getting our new lab ready. We have to get out of the old one by the end of the month.

Tuesday my wife suggested I stop for pizza. I ordered it and they told me "15 to 20 minutes". After 30 I asked where it was. "15 to 20 more minutes" they told me.
You can see they were very busy. (not…)

In the end, I got the pizza after 39 minutes…
Since last July there has been a customer complaint that one of the freezers we sent them had a mounting plate that wasn’t level. We’ve asked for it back to inspect. It finally arrived and I have to agree it isn’t level.

I’m hoping this isn’t cause to send me to the factory that makes them. I don’t enjoy those trips…
Although only a month from the shortest day of the year, we’re already to the point where it isn’t totally dark on my drive home.

Today we went and visited my aunt and her hustband.
And, their cat.

Although we’re both allergic to cats, some playing with the cat was done.

As it was starting to snow, we ate at the restaurant at their retirement home.

Every so often she asks why I have cut off communication with her sister. (Otherwise known as my mother.)
So, I gave her another example. (The violin one: https://fbhjr.dreamwidth.org/689330.html or https://fbhjr.livejournal.com/690629.html )
"Oh. I didn’t know that. I’m sorry. I don’t know what she was thinking…" was her response.
The snow was getting bad, so we set off home. We did see 3 cars off the road or in accidents on the way. Strange as there was only about 1cm of snow on the ground. We’re expecting 15cm…
But, we got home OK.

Not sure about sword practice tomorrow. It will depend on when the snow stops.
