Thursday as my wife left, a big storm was coming up the coast.

Rather than drive in during the worst of the storm, I went in the night before.

Before I could get to the airport, my fight was cancelled.

I don’t know if it was the storm or what, but I could only find one hotel room in Boston. If cost more than my airfare, so I decided it wasn’t worth it.
So, it was a question of where in the airport to spend the night.
Not out in my car.

Not only was it cold and snowing, but they were also doing construction in the parking garage.

But, I found a nice chair.

It was in a corridor between terminals.

I wasn’t the only one.

Because of the cancelled flight, I couldn’t get on a flight to my connection. I had to go to Chicago and then back.

Even that had problems as there was a plane parked behind my plane and it took and hour to move it.

When I got to Chicago, it was very crowded.

Flying back and forth over the country can be interesting, but Friday anywhere north was just clouds.

The south wasn’t that bad.

I was supposed to get to Florida by 9:15. By sunset, I had only reached half way.

I got on my small plane to the last place.

I got there. I was the last of us to arrive, and everyone had to set up without me.
Sad.
Saturday morning we started with a good breakfast.

Then, off to the show!

We had two different cars. My rental car and my wife’s car that drove down.

Of course, you’ve got to cross the river Styx to get there…

But, we’ve been there for many years and know the way.

The site has changed some from the old farm. But, not totally.

And, we have other performer friends we see each year.

We did one historical show, two pirate shows and one fire show each day. As we had few folks, I just set up a video camera and took stills from that.

We had contests for kids such as popping balloons.

And, sword fights between each.

Of course, the problem with video capture is that sometimes folks stand in front of the camera.

But, it mostly worked out.

Friends came to see us.

We did Pokemon together.

And, we finished the day with the fire show.

Afterwards, we went out to eat with our local friends.

Sunday was again warm and sunny.

They had the bloodmobile there. If you gave blood, you got a free ticket. Because one of the organizers has recovered from cancer, but now needs regular transfusions, the faire has an interest in keeping people positive for donating blood.
I guess that makes her a vampire.
And, it was The Doctor running the bloodmobile.
I had my Tardis, in siege mode, with me and asked her if she could help.

Sadly, she couldn’t get mine out of siege mode without some 2D aliens being involved…
So, my quest to open my Tardis continues…

Of course, we did our shows.

As our fire show is after dark, we got permission to break the tent down early.

This morning I got up about 5, dropped Tom off at the Pensacola airport about 6 and then drove the hour to my, less expensive, airport.

My airport shares runways with an air force base. It’s very loud when the fighter jets take off.

Then, off we went.

As on the way down, I stopped in Charolette.

My air plane to Boston seemed to have something growing out of it.

But, I still got on it.

And, off we went.

Boston welcomed me home in it’s tradition way of heavy traffic.

It only too 2 hours to get the 50km home…
My wife and Ian are still on the road home. And, there is supposed to be another storm.
Hopefully all will go well and they’ll get to their respective homes while I’m at work tomorrow…
