6 years of hybrid

It was March 24th 2012 that I got my little Prius C.
Despite 6 years and more than 121,000 miles (almost 200,000 km), I still think of it as a new car. But, since the car I had before that was 17 years old when I got it, 6 is still fairly new.

My fuel economy is still going well. I’m averaging more than 50 miles per gallon.


When I got the car, the price of gas was much higher. It’s gone down a lot, but 50mpg still saves money.


Of course, the milage is worse in the winter and better in the summer.


It is very strongly linked to temperature. The warmer it is, the better the milage.
