This week’s practice
Feb. 18th, 2018 07:19 pmIt snowed last night. But, not too much.
So, we cleared the car and headed off.

It was well above freezing (40F/5C), but the snow was still on the ground.

In the warmer temp, lots of mud.

Because everything was melting, there was a lot of water about. The water on the practice ground floor was deep enough to see the heater in reflection.

We did get a good number of folks showing up. That’s nice.

I spent some time cleaning the swords. It took a lot to get the edges worn down some. I used a rock and you can see what it took.

The costume idea I had was to look silly with a bunch of really long feathers in my hat.

The question was, could I actually sword fight with things almost a meter over my head.

Yep. I could.
But, there are some downsides of the hat I use as the base…

And, of course, there was plenty of other sword fighting too.

The hand protection I got the one who hurt his fingers are going to be used in the show.
