My neighbors are getting better at parking:

It was a week with early evenings and moonlight.

It is not yet the darkest day, but we’re only a couple of weeks away. So, the sun isn’t up when I leave for work, and is long down when I come home.

My wife is experimenting with other cookies. One involved smashing other cookies, so I was put to work.

On my calendar this week I had put down "Ice" for Thursday night.
I had no idea what that meant. I couldn’t remember anything we had set up to do that night.
The day before, I got an email from Ticketmaster saying "Are you ready to see your show tomorrow night?"
It turned out that back in June I had bought tickets to see Cirque du Soleil "Crystal" more than 6 months ahead of when I bought the tickets.
In those 6 months I totally forgot I had bought them.
Good thing we didn’t plan anything else…
So, Thursday night we went into Worcester to what I still think of as the Centrum.

The city is pretty this time of year.

They were a bit late letting us in, which annoyed me as it was fairly cold out. But, not too late they let us in.

The cafe at the auditorium did special show themed cupcakes.

They actually let you take non-flash photos of the show.

But, I didn’t take many as I was busy watching the show…
I did like that they had a pre-show that started 15 minutes before the main show.
They had their clown "Cooper", some musicians and others doing entertaining things to warm up the audience.

It is a very cool show:

My wife and I spend as much time seeing how they do things as what they do. And, they never disappoint in that either. The amount of work that goes into these shows is not lost on us.
Which is why we sat through intermission watching them check the floor and zamboni the ice.

How they position things and make sure they are in the right space is very interesting to me.

Reflections was a big part of the theme.

It was an amazing show. I really don’t have enough words to say how impressive I found it.
But, eventually it ended and we had to go back to the car.

Friday was game night and we went off to Zosh and Yebo’s. For the holidays we were doing a Yankee Swap.

First, we had dinner.

Then, the swap.

We all took our turns.

Honestly, I think it is more fun when folks are a bit more cutthroat with the gifts. This group mostly kept what they opened. But, it was still fun.
Then, on to games.

Yebo and I have been good friends for more than 3 dozen years now, so we have to be on different teams or the clues we give each other are way too easy.
I gave one to my team that got him to laugh out loud in less than a second. But, my team didn’t get it. Sad.
We played other games too.

I did find there are things you can do that make my iPhone’s facial recognition fail.

Today it was snowing.

We still went off and got lunch and did errands before it got too bad.

I guess the new version of Pokemon Go is weather sensitive?

I still got a few.

We headed home before the snow got too bad.
