Our friend Casey performs at a child care center near where he lives:
http://www.cottagechildrenscenter.com/about.html

Last year he did a show there and my wife and I helped him: https://fbhjr.livejournal.com/1115832.html

This year we agreed to help again.

He’s a trusting fellow. We got there and found his van there, open and no one in sight…

We found him out back where he’d be doing the show.

Their haunted house was in the back basement, so Casey was entertaining people in line for it.

He normally throws things up in the air. We convinced him this was not the show for that.

Saturday night, it wasn’t all that crowded…

But, the show must go on.

As it got darker, more folks showed up.

Doing safety for Casey is always interesting. There is always that "did he mean to set the lawn on fire?" question. Usually, yes, he did.

He does put out a lot of fire.

Sunday we drove off to get there earlier.

During the afternoon even we did our sword practice/show in front of folks.

Tom did not stay for the whole 7 hours of event due to his young kids.

I prefer the shows with scheduled performances instead of "when someone is interested perform". The second, like this show, means you’ve always got to be ready.

But, it’s good to practice too.

Darth Vader was very impressed.

Then, the evening fire show.
This time more people early on.

This time we all helped out some. (My wife took many of these photos.)

There were times I worried about the tree.

It was a good show for a good cause. But, I was very tired when we finally got home.
