This morning we got up and drove towards Boston, stopping at the bakery we like on the way.

Then, off to the art museum.

There was an exhibit we came to see:

It was very cool. I’m glad we went.

And, there were benches.

I thought this Kabuki one was interesting.

Especially as it indicates that the aliens from Arrival might have been in Japan 150 years ago.

Then, off past the rhinoceros to another museum.

Although the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is close enough to walk from a museum we go to all the time, it is the first time I’ve been there in decades.

The museum is known almost as much for what’s missing as what it has.

It was also surprisingly crowded.

It’s an interesting place. But, due to the nature of it, it doesn’t change. So, not much need to go back often.

If there is something to lift, I lift it.

My wife and I questioned the foot in this.

Then, on the way home we saw this:

Not sure what to make of that…

How did you manage to take photos at the Gardener? Last time I was there I got yelled at for trying, and the guard practically followed us around the rest of our visit. (I really badly wanted photos of the tapestry in the music room!)

Ooo, so things have changed. I'll have to plan to get back this fall then!
