I had a cold at the end of March into April. Then, the tree buds started filling the air with pollen and triggering my allergies.

This is not my favorite time of year…
We still got some snow. I stayed home that day, but more due to the cold I had than the snow.

That first practice in April was still cold, but sunny.

My arms were enough better I could at least pick up a sword. That’s a new high.

But, if I tried certain guards I still had problems.

Despite the nice day, my wife and I were the only ones who showed up that day. Sad.

The moon was nice…

Some time during that day I called in sick, or the weekend after, I got a crack in my windshield.

The good news is they came to my work place and fixed it right there.

Took less than an hour and worked out well.

Still some snow around.

A week ago Sunday we did get more people at practice. I was able to even hold a big sword.

I did still need to use 2 hands with a light sword. But, I was able to use it!

I still can’t do all I used to. Hopefully soon.

And, that pollen is still making things hard.

Monday I had to go to the airport and fly to Atlanta.

We got on the plane about the time the moon set.

It was much more spring like 1000 miles south in Atlanta.

I drove the hour north to where I was going.

I spent a bit of time walking through the secret art museum in the Atlanta airport basement.

I was able to get back to Boston before the sunlight had totally left the sky…

Depending on just where I am on the hill, it is or is not daylight when I leave for work.

We’ve had a LOT of rain lately and the rivers are all close to full.

Friday was game night and it was warm enough to cook out.

Not a lot of folks came out for it.

We started with Bucket of Doom.

Then, moved on to Bear Valley.

I had to face the Bear!

The rules are not overly straight forward so it took a while to decide the bear ate me.

Pollen continues to be high and we don’t like it.

For quite some time we’ve been thinking about replacing my wife’s 15 year old Subaru with a new one.

So, today we drove off to our favorite Indian place.

Then, went to the Subaru dealership near there.

We took one for a test drive and then picked the one in the dealer’s show room.

While waiting for paperwork to be done, I determined that the office furniture there was actually stuff I designed about 12 years ago.

It’s nice to see things I designed in use.
All the paperwork is done with the car. The dealership is processing everything and we’ll get the new car some time in the next week or so.
On the way home we stopped and got some of our traditional Easter food for dinner.
