Sunday at the museum

This afternoon my wife and I went off to the Worcester Art Museum.

They had festive holiday decorations.


And, a gingerbread house contest.




My wife and I visited the medieval section where they have installed a kneeler by the saints.


Is it wrong that I said "Look, people putting Christ back in Christmas" for this one?


They installed new chairs. I like them.

My wife likes them too.


They were having a concert of monks singing. I saw palusbuteo across the way. He saw me and came over to visit.



Mark and Kendra were there too.


We visited a bit with Mark as well.


I thought Mark in his 15th century clothes in the elevator was funny…


They’ve put some of the old Higgins weapons up.


And, the dog armor.


They also had a nice thing on the ingredients of the art.


The curator, who is a friend of ours was doing a tour. But, it ran late due to the concert.
So, we went to the sword fight demo, by other friends, instead.


Not everyone was thrilled to be there.


The demo was from a historical master we use in our shows, so it was interesting to see someone else’s take on it.


They also did pole axe from another master we also do.



But, then we headed off home.

That dress doesn't seem to be ideal for sword fighting, eh?

We had a talk about it before the demo, she added 5 extra yards width of fabric so she can do a full lunge in it (and showed me) I would have cut it shorter if it was me!
