Nice to get help when I need it

On my way to work I get off the highway about 10 miles/16km early as there is a major intersection of highways right near where I work and traffic is often horrible.
I go back roads and come in behind my company.
Usually that ends up saving me time. But, if there is some kind of backup on the highways and a lot of people get off on the back roads, it can take me more time.

This morning was one of those times. I’ve got to go across a secondary highway where there isn’t any traffic light or anything to make it easy.
Not normally a problem. But, today there was a very long line of cars going past without gaps for me to get in.

As I waited, a coyote came walking out of the bushes on the far side of the road. It looked over at me and then walked straight into the line of traffic.
The cars came to a halt.
It looked at me again and I pulled out and went on my way.
It walked off the road and the line of cars resumed.

I’ve got no idea why a coyote decided to play traffic cop for me today, but it was really cool it did!
