When we were on the cruise on Boston harbor I saw a fair number of Magnemites near the container loading port area. Not enough to evolve one, but 2 or 3. If the boat had spent more time there I might have seen more. I've only seen the one Voltorb, but it was near the water down on Cape Cod.
I had been seeing the outline of what must have been the Snorlax for about a week before I actually saw it. So, maybe once they move in the stay a while? Don't know.
When we were in Manhattan I saw ones I've never seen before and haven't since. ( Scyther & Kadabara) Central Park would seem to be a good place to look for them, but I wasn't there for very long.
Tauros seem to be city dewellers. I've only seen them in NYC and Boston...
