Taking out the Lutheran’s with Pokemon

Waiting for the novocain to wear off in my mouth, I decided to head up to the center of town to search for more Pokemon.

As it was after 7 and night and still more than 90F/32C I cheated and drove the 2 miles/3km to the center of town. Lots of folks walking around looking for them.

I found the two "Pokegyms" at the center of town were guarded by Pokemon of more than 2000 power. Both the congregational church and the grave yard behind it. My best is 900. No chance.


But, the Lutheran church another 1/4 mile down the road?
Only guarded by a 350.

So, I drove over and found I could just reach range in the front corner of their parking lot.
I took it out, and placed a similar powered one in its place.

As I drove out of the parking lot, someone else drove in. So, I may not hold it long…

I haven't looked at any gyms yet. There aren't any too close by where I normally travel. But, I will soon. What colour team did you pick?

I ended up picking red. Mostly because of the Phoenix mascot...
The center of town is mostly held by blue. That was part of it too. I want to have something to aim for...

Most of my town is blue but there is also a lot of red. I picked yellow :P

Nope, the one I left there is all ready back in my collection, so some other team took it.
I hope they don't put a 2000+ on it. I think there should be some that folks newer to the game can go after.

You know you can team up with random people to take down a large gym. I guess you just have to wait to see if anyone else is attacking it. I just don't know how the claiming it happens when you are on different teams.

Yeah. There were other folks at the center of town. I guess I could have asked them what team they were on... But, I didn't...
