A very nice weekend in New Hampshire

Friday I got a ride in to work with one of the guys who works for me and passes not too far from our home. Then, my wife came and got me at the end of the day. We headed straight from my work up to New Hampshire. (I work only 10 miles south of the border.)
Traffic was very bad, so we got off on the side roads. But, so did a lot of other folks.

We did see interesting things like combination ice skating (and hockey) with a dental place right on site. Convenient.

And, some nice looking libraries.

The traffic did abate.

We got to

My wife was willing to swim in the lake before the sun set.

In the distance was a thunderstorm.

I didn’t go in the water.
It did look interesting with the lightning flashing.

And, the bird shaped clouds were with us again.

Evrgreen had a concert early that day. So, we didn’t see him until he got back with his sax.

My wife was tired.

Saturday the sun was out.

I headed to the water.

Not, at least initially, to swim, but to walk along the shore picking blueberries.

Soon, my wife came out to join me and I gave up the berry quest.

The lake attack fish were in full form chasing our toes around.

My wife enjoys floating in the lake.

The dogs like chasing fish and digging for fresh water shell fish.

Eventually Evrgreen cooked us lunch.

I used to work for that awning company.

I did not design this handle, but took the job of the guy who did. his parts are still there, mine are not…

But, it was a nice lunch anyhow.

My wife was still tired.

As the afternoon progressed, clouds appeared.

And, quite a lot of rain arrived.

Once it passed there was a rainbow in their front yard.

But, other storms followed.

Evrgreen was in another concert Saturday night, so we all set off for there in the storm.

It was "interesting".

We drove past the edge of the world.

There were waves of storm as we drove along.

And, it is a nice view.

We got to Laconia. I’m not sure the city is always there. I think it phases in and out of reality. For a big town, it was pretty empty. Maybe they didn’t phase in with it.

We got there in time to help set up.

OK, maybe some helped more than me…

I walked off to get some caffeine and Pokemon…

The "Funky Monkey" is not a Pokemon.

There was one there.

Before the concert were dance lessons. Mrs and Mr Evrgreen seemed to enjoy it.

As the sun went down the storms stopped too.

Then, the band began.

They had a singer for some of the songs too.

We didn’t dance.

It was a very nice concert and I enjoyed it a lot. Even not dancing.
Sunday was another nice morning.

The fishing folks were out early, and quite close to shore.

Lakes don’t have tides, so flowers grow right near the edge.

It didn’t take long until the speed boats were out.

I searched a bit for berries again, but only a short time.

Soon I was in the water with a swim mask and my water proof camera.

There are a lot of different fish down there.

My wife joined me. The fish love her.

She decided to chase some herself.

There were some bigger fish I didn’t recognize. A few as long as my arm.

They didn’t seem afraid of people and let me swim right up to them.

Afterwards we decided it must be a small mouth bass: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallmouth_bass
Evrgreen brought out his giant shellfish.

It was a good time.

There is a good bit of lake weed this year.

They made us lunch again.

Then, it was time to set off south to home.

It was a very nice time!
