Sins of the past

Yesterday one of my teeth really started to ache.
It’s that time again. That night from 1983 back to haunt me:

I hope it is easy to fix, but doubt it will be. It’s been repair, and
re-repaired several times in the 33 ½ years since I fell on my face that
winter’s night.
My dentist scheduled 2 hours to work on it tonight. I hope it doesn’t take
that long.
But, it might well.
If there was one thing I could go back in my life and change, that wouldn’t
be it.
I’ve made mistakes worse than that.
But, it’s certainly on the top 5 list…
If I ever find the Tardis to go with my Tardis key I’ll take care of it.
(Granted, by going to the future and getting new teeth and a general health
upgrade, not trying to change my being stupid in the past. That’s too big
an issue for time travel…)
So, where’s that Tardis?

Date: 2016-07-22 02:06 am (UTC)my dad has a bridge because his two front teeth were knocked out as a kid. the bridge is over 60 years old and they dont make them that way anymore. the 'veneer' teeth occasionally fall out of the bridge and my dad has to go back to the dentist and get them glued back in. one of the veneers cracked in two and that one falls out a lot more. if my dad ever loses or swallows those veneer pieces, the dentist cant fix it anymore. teeth really can be an expensive pain!
