This week’s practice

Last night the person who was the curator of the Higgins museum before it closed had a party at his house. My wife and I attended.
We used to go to a lot of parties like this 10+ years ago. But, we drifted away from the Higgins before it closed and didn’t go to as many.
He has a nice house with a very nice garden.

I only brought my phone, so had some odd photos from accidental button hits.

It was nice to see the old Higgins crowd.

There was sword fighting. Not a surprise.

And, lots of swords around.

It was a very nice evening.

Today was another warm sunny day.

And, we had practice on our basketball court again.

We did try out my new sword. (The bottom one.)
It isn’t quite as bad as my first impression, but it is still very blade heavy.

The drainage area of our parking lot had a groundhog on the log. But, he dove out of sight when he knew I saw him.

There were two. I suspect a mother and a child. Hard to spot.

But, there.

As soon as I was spotted, the child disappeared and the mother stood guard.

Everyone else was late.

But, eventually others did show up.

It was hot and we ran through next week’s show more than once. We were all pretty hot by the end.
