Thursday morning I had a 5:30AM flight to Atlanta Georgia.

The good news was it was "have your own row day" for Southwest.

Not really. But, only 60 people were on the plane that could hold 250, so that was how it worked out.

And, it was nice to be on a flight not crowded. Used to happen a lot. Very rare these days.

Nice to have a lot of room to spread out.

Some folks made extra use of the space for their dogs.

It was pretty cloudy most of the way down.

I never did figure out what was causing this very long shadow I saw.

Then we got to Atlanta.

It was fairly warm there.

We did the factory inspection and it went quite well.
As we sat there, it got darker.
"It might rain," one of the guys from there said.
"I’m here. It will," I said.
The storm moved down to the right over our little dot there.

At first I went to the wrong hotel because I hadn’t realized that they had bagged the sign and changed the chain.

Friday morning it was so humid that when I dropped my hotel receipt, it stuck to the car.

It was pretty hazy.

Heading home Friday we got to see lots of Atlanta traffic.

You’re not allowed to take photos of security at the airport.
So, this is a photo of the line you have to get into to go into the security line.

The supplier quality person and I lost our quality engineer here. She checked her bag while we waited. But, my SQ person thought he saw her in line, so we got in line.
It wasn’t her.
When we got through we couldn’t find her for 2 hours.
But, we did find her before our plane took off.

I did spend some time walking through the tunnels between terminals where they have a sculpture exhibit.

As I took photos a woman came up to me.
"I am from Zimbabwe," she said. "I tell you this is a good example of our art."
I thanked her. She nodded and moved on.
I don’t know if a Zimbabwe authenticator is normally on hand or not.

It was a good day to fly.

This plane was 100% full. But, I was near the front.

We made good time going north.

I was annoyed by a guy who was kneeling in the front talking with folks after we were told to get ready for landing.

And, we were pretty close to landing. It was a couple of minutes from touch down.

Of course everyone was polite getting off.

That wasn't even the whole distance north south. And it is wider east west than north south...

I know, it shows on the map. And I though the flight might have been an hour, like from here to Poland..
