Everyone who normally comes to sword practice cancelled last night, so we called it off.
The only real question was what would we do instead?

The day was not great.

And, there was a whole lot of pollen out.

When we got on the road, there was a lot of dust in the air too.

We decided to go to the De Cordova sculpture museum.

It is an interesting place and they change over sculptures fairly often.

Some of the things you can touch and interact with.

But, most you can’t.

I liked this one as it was shooting rainbows off the bottom. Hard to see as it was cloudy and they weren’t super distinct.

They also had a special exhibit on art from Boston school kids. But, it was a windy day and it almost blew away. They ended up moving it indoors.

Some of the art is big. You can see my wife behind this one.

Some have fancy names. Some pretty basic names.

Some are really big.

This one was working pretty well as a sun dial. But, I don’t think that was on purpose. It could be, I don’t know.

It was windy and cool. But, the sky was mostly nice.

The wind was enough for white caps on the lake, and it isn’t a big lake.

I thought this an interesting title for something with hour glasses and lightning bolts.

I didn’t get this one’s name. Maybe it is the wrong name plate?

This was a new one…

I didn’t ask inside for more…

There are places it is very hard to know if it is an exhibit, preparations, or just construction material.

We didn’t find a name plate…

My wife really liked this tree.

I liked this one. It moved in the wind a fair bit.

Then, we headed home.

We called in an order for Chinese food on the way home. I guess it means that maybe we go there too often when the woman on the phone said "OK Frank, 15 minutes."
I had not identified myself to her…
Ah well, it was a good supper.

I did miss the sword fighting. But, if no one was going to show up, we might as well do other things.

I think the children of the corn one kind of resembled a large, thin cob of corn with a couple other cobs growing out the top. It's an interesting sculpture.

Your post wants me to go to a local scultpure "museum" we have nearby. It's just one guy, though, who has a bunch of property that he's installed several pieces of his own work on.

It's pretty neat and totally interactive. Climbing on and touching and highly encouraged. :)

I'm not sure if I'm amused or horrified at the children of the corn pole. It's creepy but also pretty silly looking at the same time.

Some of those sculptures look interesting, others are ... weird?
