This week the pollen was at the level where you could use a windshield wiper on it.

Sunday I went over to [livejournal.com profile] cissa & [livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony’s to help them with installing something and to see their cats on ceiling beams.

Despite the pollen, it is nice to see things turning green again.

And, the leaves are almost out on the trees.
It happens quickly.

My new place of work now has turkeys in the parking lot.

I doubt this is from the old place more than an hour drive away and they missed me and followed me.
But, I can think that, right?

There are some who think I keep too much caffeinated soda in my desk at work.

Those people don’t know that I had bought it two days before this and that isn’t the peak level…

Of course, the big thing this week is the little birds on our balcony.

They are growing up very fast.

Friday evening they were all happy with their parents in our window box.

Saturday morning they were gone.

The parents were still around, but not the chicks.

It turns out they are now up to the level of being able to fly short distances and were over in a corner of the balcony that is hard to see from the living room.

I am very happy they are OK.

I guess the parents feel safe enough that they both flew off for food leaving the little chicks there by themselves.

I thought it very cute that after their parents had been gone a couple of minutes, the kids jumped back in their old nest to wait.

By Saturday evening the whole family was back. (The second chick just wouldn’t stay in shot…)

And, video of them. No sound as there is always a window between us.

oh wowwww that's a LOT of soda there. And you say it's not even the full amount?

Those doves bread fast. My God. It seems like yesterday that they took over the balcony and now the chicks are already flying!

I drink about 3 of them a day. So, that would be about 8 work days worth. (They are 1/2 liter bottles...)

No, just soda. I've never developed the taste for coffee.

Ooh you won't be happy with Australian Mountain Dew... it's not caffeinated. It probably tastes a lot different to your version too. Probably worse...

I love the birds. Baby ones are always so fuzzy and dorky looking. I don't think we have those mourning doves in Australia but we have similar ones. There are some that come to my yard and they make a wooHOOhoo sound.

No caffeine?
You're right, I'll have to look for something else when we're there. I need caffeine...

We have Pepsi and Coke that have caffeine. There are energy drinks too but they aren't very nice (in my opinion). Dr Pepper is a rarity but it is sold in a few places.

Here Diet Mountain Dew has far more than the other diet sodas. I do see that your Diet Pepsi is stronger than ours too...
