Week in photos
Mar. 26th, 2016 09:23 pmAlthough last Sunday was the first day of Spring for us, Sunday night they predicted a snow storm.
We were in that 1-3" (2-8cm) band.

By the time I got up to go to work Monday morning there was about 5"(12cm) of snow on my car.

Driving was as good as you would expect.

But, by the end of the day it was cleared up and the roads were dry.

Spring still has snow, but it doesn’t stick around…
Tuesday morning the sunrise was back, but that was the only day this week.

It probably came up the rest of the week, but it was hard to tell.

It looks like 2 doves are making a nest in our window box.

I hope they’re quiet. We don’t use our balcony much, so no worries there. But, it is just outside our bedroom window. The sound of snow falling is enough to keep me awake. Doves calling is very annoying…
Today we went off to meet
We got to Framingham to pick her up about 5 minutes before her train arrived. But, going the last block turned out to be a big problem.

They were doing some sort of Easter Egg Hunt on the town green on the right. Folks seemed more than willing to look for eggs in traffic.
So, by the time her train reached the intersection, we were only 3 cars closer.

But, we still caught up with her and went to our favorite Indian Restaurant.

Then we went to a small museum that is located in what used to be the Framingham high school.

It’s not a huge museum, but it does have some interesting things.
Sadly, they do not allow photos at all. Not even of the benches.
After that we dropped
I’m not sure if I am getting what my wife had or if it is that the trees are starting to act up.

I don’t like the spring. Too many things that don’t agree with my breathing.

Date: 2016-03-27 03:50 pm (UTC)We had ice issues a few days ago too! Roads were a bit tricky but it's mostly gone now, yay, hopefully no more snow or ice.

Date: 2016-03-27 05:13 pm (UTC)The babies are extremely quiet; even with the window open I can't hear them unless I am actively listening for them. Really, after they are done mating the only times you will hear much of anything from them is that weird whistling thing their wings do when they fly. The poop is also quite easy to clean up: just sweep it up when it dries.
It takes two weeks for the eggs (usually 2) to hatch, and an additional 2 weeks for the babies to fledge. If you let them, they will probably try to have another brood about a week after the first fledges.
