New England Reenactors Faire

It was a damp, but warm, morning when we set out.


It was a fairly short drive to the New England Reenactors faire. (40 minutes, including stopping for breakfast…)


So, were were among the first to arrive.


But, morgan_lafaye soon showed up.


A fair sized crowd showed up.


It wasn’t my kind of show. We weren’t actually performing.
We were there trying to attract new members. Last year palusbuteo attended and ran across someone in armor. That guy and his wife joined our group.
So we were hoping that someone out there would want to join us this year…


palusbuteo did show up as well.


musesrealm & blue_micha showed up too.

brickhousewench showed up too.
So, it was nice so many friends were there.

Everyone was happy.


In the afternoon it cleared out a fair bit.


That certainly didn’t cause any problems, right.


It did go better than I expected.
But, I like shows where we do our shows, not just talk about them.

The good news is we got out of there by 3:30 in the afternoon. Turned out the day had turned nice while we were inside.


My wife and I headed off to the "Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse" for dinner.


We had expected it to not be busy at 4 in the afternoon. Instead it was crazy busy and we had to wait to get a table.
I’m sure my wife didn’t mind.


We got out after eating just about sunset to a nice moon.

sorry it was pretty much a bust for PS. But as you know it's been a pretty sporadic, unpredictable event since the first one.

It was really nice to see you all though, it was good to have somewhere to hang out and not feel like a creeper/latched on.

…Who knows I might show up with a table space next year.

it always strikes me that you know so many of your Lj-friends for real. Did you knew them first and talked them into getting an Lj or how did that go?

A lot of the folks I know had LJ accounts 10+ years ago.
I didn't have one for a long time, and they convinced me to get one.

Many of the folks I knew who had one have since dropped away. Mostly to Facebook. But, some are still on LJ.

I still miss them. Some are still on my friendslist for... just in case they return.. you know

LJ does take more effort. You can't just hit "like".
I think you get more of of LJ, so it is worth it.

Every time the hubby and I tink a place won't be busy, it usually is extremely busy.
