Week in photos…

Early this week we had some more snow.

A lot of people called in sick over it, but it really wasn’t very much.

Still, the driving was less than easy in it.

I like the light this time of year.

And, it is clear I am leaving work just at sunset these days.

Some of the sunsets are nice.

Some days you get the moon too.

I did go eat lunch one day at a restaurant that reminds me of places back in the 70’s.

Friday there was a fantastic sunrise, but I couldn’t get a photo of it.

I got my year end report from American Express. My wife and I spend far more on food than anything else. (Stop & Shop is a supermarket chain.)

It was quite cold Friday. So cold that my windshield fluid froze right to the windshield when I used it.

I find it funny at work that they go to a lot of work to put anti-theft cords on the projectors.

But, just loop it under the table leg that can be easily lifted off.

Friday we set off to game night across the new colorful bridge.

Our first game was a spy game.

We had good snacks. But, it was very unclear what flavor the hearts were.

Some said strawberry, some watermelon, some just red.
But, we still enjoyed the game.

Other folks had fun visiting.

The next game was a somewhat confusing movie game.

Everyone was excited to play.

We did figure it out and finished the game.

Then John showed up with exploding kittens.

Not sure about that game…
This morning we were getting some big icicles.

I set off early for Worcester.

The comic book store we go to (www.thatse.com ) was having a special 50th anniversary of the independent comic they have put out over the years.
This is the one that my wife had been guest artist on a few times in the 80’s while we were doing our own (very, very small) independent comic.
They had a special "poster" for the occasion.

The cover to one of my wife’s is show second in from the right bottom.
Of course, I got the issue itself.

Last month I made the joke about our old comic still being for sale there, but they actually did have a few more in stock.

(Doesn’t hurt that the store manager used to be one of our guest artists…)
Sadly my wife has had a cold a lot of this week, and I think I’ve caught it.
She said she wanted beef stew in a bread bowl, so on the way home I got the stuff to make that, and that’s what we had.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the coldest day of the year by far. My wife and I are both sick.
And, we have sword practice.
We’ll see how that goes…

Date: 2016-02-14 02:07 am (UTC)That really wasn't a lot of snow. People called out the same day with us for similar snow. I think people just want an occasional snow day. I take them myself but only after about 6+ inches has fallen. ;)
