First practice of the year

The day was fairly foggy and rainy.


It was pretty damp at the practice grounds too.


Some of the storms were fairly strong and there was some lightning and thunder.


For a while, my wife and I were the only folks at practice.

We had some worries that no one else would actually show up.

But, John showed up. He hasn’t done a show for us in a good bit of time. But, since he got married last month he says he as the time to start sword fighting again.

It’s good to have him back. We’ll see if he stays.

The folks who joined last year did show up too.

So, it worked out fairly well in the end.

After practice we went over to cissa & cosmicirony’s for a very nice dinner.


They were nice enough to give us a Phoenix Swords plate.

That was very nice and a good way to start off the year for the sword troupe.

We're hoping to get 8 performers for the show in March. We had 5 yesterday. Granted, that's more than a lot of practices last year.
But, I still hope for a few more...
