Wales trip with photos, part 6a

The woman who ran the B&B thought our wanting breakfast at 7AM completely outrageous. The other folks there asked for 9 and were told OK.
So, we said we’d take just cereal, toast and tea at 7. She agreed to that.

By 8AM we were on the road. Our first stop was Flint Castle, only one town over from where we were.

It isn’t a big castle and isn’t in great shape. But, it was the last castle we were going to see on our trip.

Sadly, as it was before dawn, it was not yet open.


But, we could still look around, and did.






But, soon were off on our way to our next stop.


Sadly the bridge into England was out. So, we took a detour around back to where we had started and out to the highway there.
Now we can say we drove through Mold…

Who wouldn't want breakfast that early - there's no time to sleep in .. you've got things to see and places to go. We're always up early when we travel too.

the idea of getting up that early, on a PAID vacation, is just horror to me. i get that you had a very limited schedule. i dont think i could do it.
