My car has reached its peak mileage for the year, 51.65 miles per gallon.
(21.96km/liter, 63.03 miles per imperial gallon, 4.55 liter per 100km)

It is a hybrid car (PriusC) and very sensitive to the temperature of the
air around it. It does much better in the summer, and worse in the winter.

If you chart it against air temperature at time of gas purchase you can see
it more clearly:

Last year I got much better mileage than this year. I’m thinking that was
the weather as it was a cooler than normal summer.
We’ll see how the winter goes.
Snow really kills it.
The heater, light, wipers all add to the reduction in the cold. But,
pushing snow out of the way is by far the worst.

Hopefully it won’t be a bad winter.
We’ll see.

That chart is very interesting. I had no idea that air temperature affected mileage. I also have a Prius C (2012) and could swear that I've once or twice gotten over 60 mpg, but maybe that's wishful thinking. I am in very warm part of the world, so those could have been 100+ days.

I have had tanks of gas right on that 60 boarder. This is just averages, not the imdiviual tanks.

How ddl you like your C?
I'm quite happy with mine.

Love the C! My son has one that's a 2005 and still going strong, so I have great hopes of this lasting until electric cars become reasonable to buy. I was afraid it would seem hard to drive after my last car (VW) but it's quite pleasant, even if not quite as much fun.

Sadly, last month in one week I got rear-ended AND someone ran a red light and hit me, but fortunately both were only body damage and the car is otherwise fine. But with two wrecks in the record, I think I will have to drive it for the rest of its life.

I was hit a while ago by someone turning right from the left lane. The car held up well.
So, I understand.
But, I had planned to keep mine for the long haul anyhow.

Looking at my raw numbers, I did hit 60 at least once.
There are a couple of others close too:

I have to say your record keeping is amazing--is there some way that the car itself records this? I know that screen that gives you the data, but keeping a record and charting it! However, based just on memory, that's the kind of variation I get, though my warm climate probably moves the whole graph a little higher.

You can reset the trip counter every tank of gas and it would do that.
I use my cellphone and take photos of the odometer and then the gas pump when I pump. Then, add everything to an excel sheet later...
