Yesterday’s practice

When I got up Sunday morning there were turkeys in the parking lot of our apartment complex.

They seemed to be enjoying the summer sun.

We had to go to practice to pick up the swords. Last week we only did fire so had left them there.

One of the other folks not only parked where you shouldn’t but blocked two of the doors and filled the corridor with their stuff. They seemed annoyed when I moved a chair to get past, but didn’t say anything.
Maybe they think if you cover the "no" of "no parking" then it is OK?

The storage area has cut down a lot of trees. It does give a better view of the valley.

When we got to practice it was cloudy and humid.

Despite the summer heat, some of the trees are starting to show signs of fall.

Practice was as well attended as has been the custom lately.

Sad.
But, it didn’t stop us from practicing. Especially practicing scabbard throwing.

How often have you said "I wish I had been able to throw that scabbard farther"?
The locust wasn’t there this week, but a grasshopper was.

Actually, I saw a couple of locust flying around, but didn’t get photo.
By the end, the day was very nice.

Coming back there was an accident on the other side. Glad it wasn’t my side.

The bridge between Worcester and Shrewsbury finally appear to be finished. Yay!

They are still putting up sculptures on them, but all lanes are open!
We had dinner at

Still, worth it for the dinner and company!
